SCAMMERS!! Do not buy!!! These people stand at the entrance to the Subway when upper getting off to board the Staten Island Ferry and will lie to you. They told us a big story about how long to wait for the Staten Island Ferry. We expressed we had to be back in town for our show. They recommended their 1hr ferry tour that goes around the Statue of Liberty for $35 with a sailing leaving in 12mins from that terminal. Actually, the receipt stated $49 (I was told after receiving it that was extra charges in tax). Then we were walked by a guide 10 mins away to a bus stop and told to get off in 2 stops. We waited for the bus 15mins for it to arrive and to board. We got off two stops later which was another 15mins. Got off the bus and no instructions where to go. We and probably another 20pp were left to find our way which took another 15mins. Finally we all arrived completely shocked that the sailing times we were told do not exist. And we waited another 45mins!!! The people who sold us the tickets were friendly and helpful but as soon as you hand over the money the service stops. Forget about bus tour too. It’s over sold, constantly full and you can’t get on. Time wasting, money hungry and down right dishonest operators. Stay clear of this company.
Beware of the times of the boat trip if u book with the street sellers as the boat only goes at certain times which are printed on the ticket. Luckily we had no further plans that day so got lunch first. The boat tour itself was good, got some good pics of the Statue of Liberty, the bus no air con so we sweltered a bit. We were told by the seller that the tour included Ellis island which turned out not to be the case but overall a good trip with good views and a good informative commentary on the boat.
Awful customer service- rude tour guides after getting off bus & at the Pier. Tour sold for 11.15am Statue of Liberty tour only runs 11am, 12.30. Nowhere to sit, standing in line at Pier in the sun😡
All the trips that I went on was very nice. Never had any Problems with the crew or driver. Everyone was nice. I think I been on 6 trips with L & M. Looking forward to more outings
My mom and I have taken L & M day tours numerous times and have never had any complaints. They are very professional and always on time. Also they take a headcount each time prior to taking off. Which is important. My mom was left when she took Biss Tours before. In a few months we will experience a 2 day tour with L&M. And yes they will cancel a tour if the bus is less than half full, which they do tell you when you pay and I find is understandable as far as business wise.
