Who you can refer
DealMagik is dedicated to bringing the best local, consumer-facing deals to our shoppers. To qualify for the referral bonus, the referred business must operate in one of our approved consumer categories — and your own business must be signed up, active, and in good standing to refer at all.

We don't currently accept referrals for purely B2B services, heavily regulated professional services, or businesses that aren't deal-oriented — the categories above aren't exhaustive. DealMagik reviews every referred business before approving a referral payout to make sure they're a fit for our shopper marketplace.
Frequently asked questions
Who's eligible to make a referral?+
Any business currently signed up, active, and in good standing on DealMagik can refer other businesses. Businesses can only refer other businesses — this program doesn't cover referring individual shoppers.
What kind of business can I refer?+
Any consumer-facing local business in an approved category — food & beverage, beauty & wellness, retail & gifts, home & auto services, or local experiences & arts. We don't accept referrals for B2B services, regulated professional services (legal, accounting, notary, consulting), or medical practices requiring insurance. DealMagik reviews every referral before approving a payout.
What does the referred business get?+
They don't receive cash — they get a welcome package (Zero commission, first 30 days) designed to make it easier to get their first sales on the platform.
My referral hasn't been paid. Why?+
A few common reasons:
- The referred business has 30 days from signup to complete their profile, publish at least 3 active deals, and process their first 5 shopper transactions. If that window passes without hitting the milestone, the referral expires.
- Your cash reward pays out only once that full milestone is met — not just at signup.

Does my referral link expire?+
Your link itself doesn't expire, but each individual referral does: the business you refer must complete their profile, publish 3+ deals, and process 5 transactions within 30 days of clicking your link, or that referral is no longer eligible for a reward.
How many businesses can I refer?+
You can earn a reward on up to -- referrals per calendar year.
How and when will I get paid?+
Paid to your DealMagik payout account once the referral milestone is met. Contact support for payout timing details.
Where and how can I share my referral link?+
Share it with businesses you actually know and have permission to refer — direct messages, email, or in person. Posting your link publicly (open forums, coupon sites, marketplaces, paid ads) or misrepresenting your relationship with DealMagik can make a referral ineligible for a reward. DealMagik determines in its sole discretion whether a referral qualifies.
Can I refer another location of my own business, or a franchise location?+
No. Referrals must be independently owned and operated businesses — additional locations of your own business, or businesses in the same ownership/franchise group, don't qualify.
