True beauty is not just about a striking appearance; it is about the confidence that radiates when someone embraces their authentic self. Embracing one’s authentic self is a lifelong passion turned small business for Stacy, the visionary creator behind the brand The Frizz Girls, this philosophy is more than just a tagline—it is her life’s work. As she prepares to step onto the national stage at the Petite USA  pageant as Elite Ms. Petite Kentucky in Chicago this July in Chicago this July, Stacy is proving that the journey to self-love is a lifelong celebration.

A Full-Circle Journey

Stacy’s relationship with the stage began early; she first competed in a pageant as a precocious three-year-old winning that coveted red 2nd place ribbon and a trophy! Now, decades later, she is embracing the spotlight again in the “Petite USA” pageant this July.

This return to pageantry as an Elite competitor is not merely for a chance to win the crown; but it is a strategic platform to showcase that young women and girls can embrace their natural hair texture and be sophisticated, versatile, and stunning just as they are. Whether the occasion calls for formal evening wear, athletic attire, or sharp business interview outfits, Stacy’s goal is to demonstrate that natural hair texture is beautiful and belongs everywhere—from the boardroom to the ballroom.

The Heart of The Frizz Girls

An accomplished author and illustrator who is a graduate of both the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University, Stacy founded The Frizz Girls to fill a vital void. The brand, which includes a series of four books, a dedicated journal, hair care accessories and classes, began as a set of illustrations in 2021, inspired by her own life experiences, friends, and family.

The Frizz Girls is more than just a collection of stories; it is an educational movement. Stacy’s mission is to teach young girls and women how to love, care for, and celebrate their unique curl patterns.  While Stacy spent many years in Los Angeles—a hub of diverse hair textures—she recognized that young girls in smaller communities, like her current community of Bowling Green, Kentucky, may not have as much exposure to seeing hair like theirs being represented in daily life.

Bringing Curl Education Nationwide

To bridge this gap, Stacy has taken her passion to the digital frontier and in following her passion to reach as many communities as possible lead her to become DealMagik’s first Verified Merchants offering her books, journals, hair care products, as well as virtual CURL classes on the platform.  Shop The Frizz Girls on DealMagik.  “The DealMagik platform was a great fit for The Frizz Girls as I was looking for wider exposure, it supports the national reach that I am looking for, and really is structured to be a champion for small business. On this platform I can get my message, books, out nationwide and folks can book my classes right from the app, plus, I have a real human I can call for help when I need it,” says Stacy.

Curl Classes conducted via Zoom, she provides curl education that transcends geographic boundaries. By combining these virtual sessions with her books and resources shipped nationwide, Stacy is creating a massive “nation-wide stage” for her message. She teaches the essentials of the CURL Method, the importance of protective styles, and the profound power of self-love. Ready to join the movement? Book a class or shop her collection on DealMagik!

Stacy’s participation serves as a powerful reminder: whether she is illustrating a character in a book or walking the runway in a formal gown, her mission remains consistent. She is here to educate, inspire, and remind every woman and young girl that their natural texture is not just beautiful—it is a superpower to be embraced at any age.
